FLORES TOUR ( The Whale Hunting Adventure)
6 Days / 5 Nights Lembata Flores
DAY 01. MAUMERE (D)
On arrival at "Waioti" Airport of Maumere - Flores, our guide will meet you and transfer to the Flores SAO Resort or Sea World Club for accommodation and dinner.
DAY 02. MAUMERE - LARANTUKA – LEWOLEBA / LEMBATA (B,L,D)
After breakfast a 4 hours scenic drive to Larantuka, a small town on the Eastern tip of Flores Island. After lunch, we proceed to the pier and board a wooden boat to cruise to Lowoleba - Lembata/Lomblen Island. Dinner and overnight at Losmen Rejeki - Lowoleba.
DAY 03. LEWOLEBA - LAMALERA (B,L,D)
After breakfast we sail of to Lamalera - a village of Whale-Hunters at the South of the Island. On arrival we join the Whale hunters, if lucky you will see the harpooners chasing the whale using their "Pledang", a wooden canoe with palm leaves sail. Dinner and overnight we enjoy in a village house amongst the locals of Lamalera.
DAY 04. LAMALERA – LOWOLEBA (B,L,D)
After breakfast we will have a second opportunity to observe the whale hunting activities and learn their ways of hunting, customs and listen to their stories of whale hunting history. After lunch boating back to Lowoleba. Accommodation and dinner at Losmen Rejeki.
DAY 05. LEWOLEBA - LARANTUKA – MAUMERE (B,L,D)
After breakfast we will cruise back to Larantuka. On arrival direct drive to Maumere, several stops made, depending on local events. Accommodation and dinner at Flores SAO Resort.
DAY 06. MAUMERE – OUT (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the Airport for departure to your next destination.
