JAVA OVERLAND TOUR
9 Days / 8 Nights
DAY 01. JAKARTA (D)
Our guide will meet you at Soekarno Hatta - Jakarta airport
and arrange your transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day you
can spend free at leisure.
DAY 02. JAKARTA - BOGOR - BANDUNG
(B,L,D)
After breakfast at hotel we will leave for Bandung. On the
way we will visit Indonesia Miniature Park (Taman Mini
Indonesia Indah - TMII) and continue to Bogor, about 60 km
south of Jakarta. Between Bogor and Bandung we pass the tea
plantations at 'Puncak'. We will stay overnight in a hotel
in Bogor.
DAY 03. BANDUNG (B,L,D)
After breakfast at the hotel we will make a visit to active
Tangkuban Prahu crater. Next we will visit Ciater hot spring
resort. The water is said to have healing powers for
skin/rheumatism problems. Lunch will be served at a local
restaurant. After lunch we will drive to the fruit market in
Lembang and the Cihampelas Street in Bandung where you find
many "factory outlets" selling jeans. After this we return
to our hotel.

DAY 04. BANDUNG - PANGANDARAN (B,L,D)
Breakfast at your hotel. Departure to Pangandaran at the
south coast. On the way we will stop at Naga village to
visit the local Sundanese community who have kept their
traditional customs over the centuries. The village is
located in a beautiful mountain valley. Next we will drive
to Pangandaran where we will stay overnight.
DAY 05. PANGANDARAN - YOGYAKARTA (B,L,D)
After breakfast at your hotel we will depart to Yogyakarta.
On the way we will visit Green Canyon where you can have a
swim in the river or make a boat trip. In the afternoon we
arrive in Yogyakarta where we will stay overnight.
DAY 06. YOGYAKARTA (B,L,D)
After breakfast at your hotel we will have a full day's
programme. We will visit the Sultan's Palace built in 1775,
a batik home industry and a silver factory in "Kota Gede".
After that we will drive to impressive Buddhist Borobudur
temple. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

DAY 07. YOGYAKARTA - TRETES (B,L,D)
Breakfast at your hotel. Today's tour will bring us to the
mountain resort Tretes in East Java.. Enroute we will visit
the Hindu Prambanan temple complex, about 15 km from the
centre of Yogyakarta. After that we will drive to Solo to
see the Sultan's Palace and the flea market. In the
afternoon we will arrive in Tretes where we will directly
check in in your hotel.
DAY 08. TRETES (B,L,D)
In the early morning we drive to the "Tengger Area"
and make a walk to top of mount Bromo and hope to see a
blood red sunrise. With good weather you will have a
spectacular view at active Mt. Semeru, the highest mountain
in Java. You will have to dress warm as the night
temperature can drop to 5 degrees Celcius. After sunrise the
temperature will rise quickly. Later in the day we will
return to Tretes where you will have time to spend free.
DAY 09. TRETES - SURABAYA AIRPORT
(B)
Breakfast at your hotel. Depending on the time of the flight
to your next destination you might have a part of the day to
spend free before your transfer to Surabaya airport.
