LOMBOK - CULTURE AND ISLAND TOUR

DAY 01. LOMBOK - SASAK CULTURE
(L,D)
On arrival at airport of Mataram our guide will meet
you and bring you to your hotel in Senggigi. We will
make a full day tour to observe the culture of the native
Sasak tribe. We drive south to Sade-Rembitan
village to see the traditional houses and learn about
traditional customs and culture. On the way we will stop at
Sukarare to observe the hand weaving. After that we will
visit Penunjak, one of the many
pottery villages in Lombok where clay pots of simple
design and primitive style are produced. In the afternoon we
return to your hotel in Senggigi.
DAY 02. LOMBOK - THE CORAL ISLAND
GILI AIR (B,L,D)
After breakfast at the hotel we will leave for Gili Air,
one of the three small coral islands near the Northwest cost
of Lombok. Here you can skin-dive or snorkel above the
coral reefs with their marine life. (Diving and
snorkel fares are not included in this tour fare). You can
as well just enjoy the crystal clear water and relax on the
white sandy beach. Lunch boxes will be provided. On the way
back to Senggigi several stops will be made including
Lendang Banjur, a typical country market, and
Pusuk
that offers a beautiful panorama at the northern coast
of the island. In the late afternoon we will be back
in the hotel.
DAY 03. LOMBOK -
TEMPLES, MARKET, TRADITIONAL VILLAGE (B,L)
We will have breakfast at the hotel. Today's tour includes
Mayura, the royal courtyard built in 1744 by Anak
Agung Ngurah Karangasem and a local market at
Sweta to see local people selling and buying their daily
needs and handicrafts. After that we drive to Suranadi
to visit the temple that is famous for its holy fish and
spring water, which are believed to give good fortune. Next
visit is to Karang Bayan, a traditional village with
an ancient mosque and traditional houses. At the end of the
day we will bring you to the airport for your flight to your
next destination.
