LOMBOK - KOMODO ISLAND THE NEW PARADISE TO DRAGON

DAY 01. LOMBOK -
TEMPLES, MARKET, TRADITIONAL VILLAGE (L,D)
On arrival at airport of Mataram our guide will meet
you and bring you to your hotel in Senggigi. After
checking in at the hotel we will make a tour including
Mayura, the royal courtyard built in 1744 by Anak Agung
Ngurah Karangasem and a local market at
Sweta where people buy their daily needs and
handicrafts. After that we drive to Suranadi
to visit the temple that is famous for its holy fish and
spring water, which are believed to give good fortune. Next
visit is to Karang Bayan, a traditional village with
an ancient mosque and traditional houses.

DAY 02. LOMBOK - SASAK CULTURE
(B,L,D)
After breakfast at the hotel we will make a full day tour to
observe the culture of the native
Sasak tribe. We drive south to Sade-Rembitan
village to see the traditional houses and learn about
traditional customs and culture. On the way we will stop at
Sukarare to observe the hand weaving. After that we will
visit Penunjak, one of the many
pottery villages in Lombok where clay pots of simple
design and primitive style are produced. In the afternoon we
return to your hotel in Senggigi.
DAY 03. LOMBOK - THE CORAL ISLAND
GILI AIR (B,L,D)
After breakfast at the hotel we will leave for Gili Air,
one of the three small coral islands near the Northwest cost
of Lombok. Here you can scuba dive or snorkel above the
coral reefs with their marine life. (Diving and
snorkel fares are not included in this tour fare). You can
as well just enjoy the crystal clear water and relax on the
white sandy beach. Lunch boxes will be provided. On the way
back to Senggigi several stops will be made including
Lendang Banjur, a typical country market, and
Pusuk
that offers a beautiful panorama at the northern coast
of the island. In the late afternoon we will be back
in the hotel.
DAY 04. LOMBOK - BIMA / SUMBAWA ISLAND (B,L,D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Airport in Mataram for
your flight to Bima on the island Sumbawa. On arrival in Bima our guide will
meet you and arrange your transfer to the Lawata Hotel for accommodation and
meals. After lunch you will make a half day tour to visit a traditional Sambori
village and see the daily way of life, beliefs, custom and culture of its
people.
DAY 05. BIMA - KOMODO (B,L,D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the harbour in Sape,
about 40 km South East of Bima. In spite of the short
distance this drive can take several hours, as the road
often is in bad condition. In Sape we board on a local style
wooden boat which has been modified for carrying tourist.
This boat is equipped with radio navigation, electricity,
toilet, one big cabin that has-6 - 12beds, mattresses and
life jackets. You will cruise for 6 hours to the Komodo
Islands (Komodo National Park). Lunch will be served on
board. In the late afternoon we arrive at Komodo Island,
Accommodation and meals will be on board.

DAY 06. KOMODO - BIMA (B,L,D)
After breakfast we will go ashore and walk for about 2 km to
Banugulung to watch the komodo dragons (giant monitor lizards) that can grow
up to 3 m in length and 150 kg in weight. The total number of these lizards
is estimated at 5.000 - 7.000. The only places they live are the islands
Komodo, Padar and Rinca (all in Komodo National Park) and the western part
of Flores. After the visit to the komodo dragons we will return to the boat
and have some time to swim or snorkel and visit a clean white sandy beach.
Lunch will be served on board, after which we cruise back to Sape and drive
from there to Bima. On arrival in Bima we directly check-in to Lawata
Hotel.
DAY 07. BIMA - AIRPORT (B)
Transfer to the airport to depart for your next destination.
