Impressive to see is the traditional market at Rantepao and the famous funeral ceremonies; our guide will definitely tell you if these events are possible to visit during the time of your stay. Funerals are random but most frequent around August and September, the traditional market is once a week on different days. It is also possible for you to enjoy a white water rafting tour; the rafting itself is doable for everyone and you need no experience at all. However it’s not recommended for bad walkers because it takes about one hour walk down hill through the sometimes steep and slippery rice fields to reach the point of embarkation.
